Frogs, princes and princesses...

The frogs have returned to lay their eggs in our school pond. The frogspawn is in the early stage of development. We will be observing regularly to detect the changes in the development of the tadpoles!

The arrival of the frogs has inspired the sharing of the story of ‘The Princess and the Frog’.  Could one of the frogs in our pond be a real prince?
Talking about princesses, the children believe that real princesses have long hair, wear beautiful ball gowns, wear crowns, sparkly high heeled shoes and exquisite jewellery.

The children have been on a quest to discover who is the real princess in school. After discussion, they decided to place a pea on the seat of selected teachers’ chairs and waited to see how they felt at the end of the day. They also needed to find out, which of the teachers' feet  would fit into the princess sparkly shoe.

Some children decided to place a pea under their mum's mattress at home to see if their mum could be a princess. Some mums were very achy in the morning!

The children have enjoyed building and exploring in the outdoor classroom. How fast can our cars really travel?

All aboard the ‘Pendolino train’ to London!

Trikes, bikes and scooters….

Look how much our beanstalks have grown now!
